Network cabling

Installation and organization of structured network cabling, from cable routing all the way to terminated wall jacks and network drops.
When you need it

When should you call us?

  • New workstations, a new meeting room or an additional office.
  • Extra network drops for printers, Wi-Fi access points, IP cameras or other IP devices.
  • Cables added over the years with no organization, impossible to trace or identify.
  • Fit-out or reconfiguration of business premises.
What we do

How we work

Cabling is the foundation of the whole infrastructure: everything that will later be patched, configured and operated depends on it. We pull Ethernet cables, route them neatly to the network rack, terminate the wall jacks and label every link at both ends.

We agree with you on where the network drops go and how the cables will be routed, then we pull, secure and terminate them. Every cable is labeled at both ends, so each link can be found without searching, at the wall jack as well as in the rack.

Task list

What the service includes

  • Pulling Ethernet / IP cables
  • Cable routing
  • Organizing cable pathways and trays
  • Securing and supporting the cabling
  • Respecting bend radius
  • Separating pathways where needed
  • Cable identification
  • Labeling both ends
  • Terminating wall jacks
  • Preparing suitable cable lengths
  • Organizing cable runs into the rack
  • Link identification
  • Visual inspection of the cabling
  • Continuity testing when the available tools allow

The tasks selected for your job are detailed in the quote.

Process

How the job is carried out

  1. 01

    Site survey

Location of the network drops, rack position, possible cable routes and building constraints.

  2. 02

    Preparation

Number of links, labeling scheme and required materials.

  3. 03

    Pulling and securing

Cable pulling, support without crushing or tight bends, organized runs into the rack.

  4. 04

    Termination and labeling

Wall jack termination, labeling at both ends, identification of every link.

  5. 05

    Inspection

Visual inspection and continuity testing when the tools allow, then hand-over of the labeling plan.

Expected outcome

Clean, labeled, accessible cabling, ready for patching and easy to maintain.

Scope

What is not included

  • Masonry, structural drilling and civil works are not included.
  • Continuity testing depends on the available tools; standards-based link certification (performance measurements per category) is not offered at this time.
  • Electrical power wiring is not part of this service.
  • Configuration of the connected network equipment remains with your IT provider.
